Semiconductor and wireless technology corporation Qualcomm has experienced huge challenges in testing complexity and scope as networks have moved from 3G to 5G over the past two decades.
With pressure to reduce the time it takes to validate and characterize, they had to figure out how to move more quickly. Qualcomm changed the way they approached test. They standardized hardware and software across all their labs and significantly reduced RFIC characterization time and increased throughput more than 40 percent.
